Pâte De Verre: Bowl - Guided Workshop (1-day)

Learn the beautiful kiln casting technique of pâte de verre in this guided workshop! Translated literally to "paste of glass", pâte de verre produces exquisitely delicate pieces using fine frit. Students in this workshop will learn the steps of mold making, creating their own plaster mold in the form of a vessel. Students will pack their mold with an array of colored glass frit to be cast in our kilns. When students return for pick-up, plan to spend about 30 minutes divesting the glass vessel from their mold and reveal the finished piece! Students are encouraged to bring their favorite clay tools and old spoons (to be used in class). Tools will be provided, however additional tools are appreciated.

*We will be working with powdered investment/plaster and a dust mask will be provided and required to wear during class.
